Travelport GDS signs new long-term contract with Portman Travel

Langley, UK: 6 May 2009 - Travelport GDS, one of the world's leading providers of global distribution systems (GDS), has signed an extended deal with long-standing customer, Portman Travel, one of the UK's largest independent travel management companies.
Through the renewed agreement, Travelport's Galileo platform will continue to be Portman Travel's preferred GDS, providing access to traditional air, rail and hotel content as well as the added ability to book low cost air content.
Patrick Lucan, general manager, UK and Ireland for Travelport GDS, commented: "Travelport GDS has enjoyed a successful and long standing relationship with Portman Travel and we have always worked in a highly collaborative way with them. This new agreement is great news as it means we can continue this relationship as well as involve Portman in the development and testing of some exciting new products and services."

Portman Travel offers a comprehensive business travel management service, as well as having a dedicated groups, meetings and conferencing team.
